Streamline Consultancy is the international department of Communicatiebureau Stroomlijn BV. The international activities are concentrating on communication projects, training activities and support for public information officers and journalists in Central- and Eastern Europe. Streamline-director David van der Houwen has been and still is involved as a consultant and a trainer in a large number of projects in numerous countries. Over the years Streamline has developed priceless knowledge and experience in the field of public information and media-affairs in the new democracies. In recent years a lot of efforts were concentrated on the accession of ten new countries to the European Union. Most of the projects are funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Matra-fund), the Council of Europe and the European Commission. For the projects in Central- and Eastern Europe Streamline closely co-operates with other specialists in this field such as Gijbels Communicatie & Advies and the European Journalism Centre.
